This website is a repository of student work and related documents from Christopher Loofs’ latest teaching roles at the University of Oklahoma Gibbs College of Architecture and the Princeton University School of Architecture. Christopher’s pedagogical research centers around the intersection of design education, play, and games. Currently he is testing a new studio format that incorporates elements of tabletop role-playing games—specifically their integration of chance, social structure of assuming different roles, and collaborative nature of play. The current topic of this game-studio is a speculative urban design project responding to a projected 6 foot sea level rise in the Hackensack Meadowlands of New Jersey, in the fifth year B.Arch studio Playing in the Meadow(lands).
